We enjoyed welcoming the Sussex-based artist, Claire  Fletcher to Flitterbrook Flower Farm.  Our flower field was the perfect backdrop for her to create some signature watercolours featuring our British, seasonal flowers.  Claire has a unique style of watercolour painting that brings a real sense of nostalgia,  often featuring themes of the natural world, fantasy or fairy tales.  Claire has been an artist and illustrator since 1990 and her work has been featured in several well-known children's books including editions of The Railway Children.​  She is also the Co-founder and Director of Made In Hastings, a shop selling locally sourced gifts as well as her own artwork.  ​​​Claire is also available for commissions on 01424 423134 or by email on clairefletcherillustration@gmail.com.​

Paul Hawkins from Fabulous Flowers TV visited Georgina at Flitterbrook Farm to create an inspiring, short film about our British grown flowers.  Paul and Georgina created a stunning, natural arrangement of flowers to demonstrate the simple joys of locally grown, British flowers. 

Paul Hawkins is a leading and established floral decorator with over 30 years of experience, having made regular appearances on TV such as This Morning, GMTV, BBC Breakfast, QVC and Channel5.

We are delighted that our very own British grown flowers feature in a new book, Life In Bloom, created by Graeme Corbett. He has filled his book with the most stunning photography of arrangements using seasonal, locally grown flowers.  Greame of Bloom & Burn gives expert tips and practical advice on how to create relaxed, natural floral designs throughout the seasons.  Georgina commented: "It is such a privilege to see Flitterbrook Flower Farm's flowers in print, knowing people from all over will be able to see my flowers as well as those from other local growers.  It also gives them a great insight into what British growers can supply through the seasons".  You can order a copy of the book here.
